Event: In the News, 7 Sep 1939. 148 "Nearly 200 guests attended the reception in Hrvatska hall, 9618 Commercial ave that followed the recent wedding of Margaret Kostecka, daughter of Mr and Mrs. Charles Kostecka 9826 Commercial ave., and Louis Turek, Jr. son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Turek, 3131 W. 54th pl.
For the ceremony which was held in the afternoon in the rectory of the St. Patrick church the bride wore a gown of white satin with a fingertip veil and carried a bouquet of white roses and lilies of the valley.
Attending her as matron of honor was her sister Eleanore Kostecka. Charles Timmell was the best man.
The newlyweds deferred their honeymoon until next Spring and are now making their home at 3150 Kedvale ave.
The bride is a graduate of Bowen high school while the groom attended Tilden Tech."
