bullet  General Notes:

Graduated from Boys High School, Frederick, MD and in 1901 from Dental Dept., University of Maryland. In business with his father as a dentist in Frederick, MD. I believe he added the "e" to his name during his lifetime, because the birth record in FamilySearch.org doesn't have the "e". -- (EW) Lived at 305 Rockwell Terrace, Frederick, MD.

To follow his life a bit, look up the Frederick Post newspaper clippings on Ancestry. See 9-27-1916 where it states he received some jewels for Past High Priests night at the Masons.

Also involved with a Republican group. See 10-26-1916 newspaper, reporting on a parade and a speech made by the U.S. Sec. of Agriculture.

Present at the Boys High School Alumni Association annual banquet on 6-29-1917.

One of several dentists called upon by the governor to examine the teeth of WWI recruits. 12-21-1917

A fire in the home of Lorenzo Mullinix filled the dental office of AA Radcliffe with smoke & water. Dr. Radcliffe was trapped in his office and was "obliged to escape down the ladder. He was administering to a patient when his telephone rang and he was informed that the Mullinix building was on fire. Thinking only a slight blaze might have started, he returned to his patient and mentioned the fire. His patient, however, left the office and a few minutes later a volume of smoke poured into his office. Dr. Radcliff went to the door and found the hall filled with smoke and his exits cut off. He then went to the window and came down the ladder. His father, Dr. J.M. Radcliff, left his office when first informed of the fire and he was the last person to leave the building by the stairway." 12-12-1918

He was a director of Commercial State Bank, member of Frederick County Dental Assn., member of the Laymen's League. City (?) treasurer, 1925. Donated to an endowment fund 11-21-1925. Chairman of the Young Men's Bible Society, 2-8-1926.
