Also a member of Pilgrim Fellowship and served as treasurer and program committeeman. His hobbies included stamp collecting and coin collecting. General health was excellent. He worked after school and during school vacations waiting on tables in a delicatessen. Lindblom H.S. yearbook says he was also Fire Marshal, member of Student Guild, and Treasurer of the Spanish Club.

Occupation: a stage extra at Opera House. 4,11 Dad would tell the story about how he played a soldier in an opera. A group of soldiers would cross the screen, run behind the curtain, and reappear again to re-cross again. Once this method failed when they had backlit the curtain so the audience could see them running behind the curtain. Was this in the Oriental Theater?
