- Marriage: Catherine Kiley on 2 Aug 1824 in Galbally, Tipperary, Ireland
- Buried: 16 Jul 1866, Evanston, Cook County, IL
From Chicago Tribune: I guess the parents of this guy aren't the right parents, but it's interesting to note for further study.
"MORONEY -- John Moroney, beloved son of James and Mary Moroney, and brother of Thomas, Katherine, James, Anna, and William Moroney, Mrs. J. McAuliff, Mrs. George Deitz, and Mrs. John Ronan, at residence, 3017 Edgewood-av. (sic) Funeral notice later; member of Feehan court No. 45. C.O.F." Feb. 6, 1916
Another note: There was a James "Maroney" living with wife Kate, next door to Michael Fitzgerald family (with a daughter named Mary) in 1900 census. Living at 2912 Lowe. But according to my records, he's already dead by 1900. Wait, and so is his wife, and I see they died on the same day in the same year?! Hmm.
Noted events in his life were:
• Cemetery: Calvary Cemetery, Evanston, Cook County, IL. See "Buried" to read Diane McFarland's note.
• Residence, 5 Jun 1900. 34 Living here are James and wife Kate. Living with family of W. Kelley and Thomas Armstrong family.
James married Catherine Kiley on 2 Aug 1824 in Galbally, Tipperary, Ireland. (Catherine Kiley was buried on 16 Jul 1866 in Calvary Cemetery, Evanston, Cook, IL.)
